On the 18th February YTCllrs hosted a safety stall outside Poundland in Billericay High Street. Alongside our local Neighbourhood Policing Team, we handed out our iconic youth safety booklets as well as safety goodies which help to enhance public safety. Additionally other YTCllrs walked up and down the high street engaging with young citizens about public safety.
Thank you to all of the residents that engaged with us.
YTCllrs were at Billericay Round Tables fireworks event handing out our iconic Billericay Youth Safety Booklets along side @community.pastors, other YTCllrs scanned tickets hepling to get everyone safely into the park.
YTCllrs were at Mayflower Rotary Club's Summerfest 2025 promoting the Youth Town Council and Youth Safety Project. Giving away our iconic youth safety booklets and safety goodies to help enhance public safety.
On 12th July, YTCllrs alongside British Transport Police were walking aorund Billericay Railway Station giving away our Youth Safety Bookelts and text 61016 cards. This was a great event where we were able to engage with many local citizens.
On 16th April 2025, Youth Town Councillors were in Billericay Highstreet, outisde The Human Kind Cafe giving away our youth safety booklets and goodies to help enhance public safety.
On Wednesday 28th August 2024, the Billericay Youth Town Council held a Teenage Fire Station Open Day at Billericay Fire Station. At the event there was Essex Fire & Rescue Service, British Transport Police, Essex Road Safety Cars, Basildon Council Safety Department and Community Pastors. The event was attended by young members of the local community and we thank everyone who attended and made the event possible. A special thank you to George who had planned/organised the event. It was also great to see our Local MP and Chief Fire Officer for Essex there!
On Wednesday 29th May 2024 George, Alex and PC Olivia were in Billericay High Street giving away our youth safety booklets, crime prevention advice and goodies to enhance public safety.
We really appreciate all the support for our project from the public and look forward to planning and putting on more events very soon.
On Wednesday 3rd April 2024 George and Billericay Police Community Support Officers were in Billericay High Street giving out our new youth safety booklet along with some crime prevention goodies.
On Saturday 30th March 2024 British Transport Police and the Billericay Youth Safety Project Team, held a pop up event at Billericay Train Station. We gave out our new booklet along with Railway Guardian and Text 61016 cards to members of the public.
On Saturday 23rd March 2024 the Billericay Youth Town Council (BYTC) launched the Billericay Youth Safety Project at the Chantry Centre. Many members of the public came along to speak to the police and other organisations about crime prevention and got their copy of the booklet. A short presentation was also held by the founder of the project George.
