Did you know you can report crimes anonymously?
Welcome to the Billericay and Essex Youth Safety Project (BEYSP) Website
Over the last year at various different events young people have told us that they don't feel safe on buses.
We listened and attempted to start a campaign but without evidence it didn't get far. Now we're working alongside our local MP, Richard Holden, gathering evidence through an anonymous survey. Which has been designed to allow young people individually or in a class/group to take part in a survey and share their opinions on how safe they feel when using buses.
This survey will help us and our MP to work together to hopefully create a discreet method of reporting crime or ASB on buses, similar to on trains with the text 61016 campaign.
Report coming soon!

During august 2023 YTCllr George attended a Let's Talk meeting with our local PCSOs. Where he rasied conserns about crimes in Billericay, that had affected young people that summer. One of the PCSOs, gave George a task to create somthing that could help other young people with the information he had learnt that day. Since then we have created a booklet & social media banner which is available below, created many resources for any school/youth group to access and hosted a range of safety events to help enhance young citizens public safety. Fast forward to 2026 we have expanded our project to the rest of Greater Essex and are getting ready to launch our Essex Youth Safety Boolets.
